Age of Wonder 4 is built with customization in mind and tested to make sure that the organic narrative of what you experience and create is at the forefront.
It does come with some problems, though.

Rarely has a title fit what I experienced so much, however.

I’m getting kind of tired of every single game coming with a “but performance is poor on launch” warning. There’s basically no point to buy any game at launch anymore. Just wait for a sale and patch.

I love how half the review felt like a full D&D game, the descriptions were perfect. Being a huge fan of Total War Warhammer but not being bale to play it on console I am super excited for this on PS5! Great review and can't wait to put so many hours into this, thank you!

I've been a huge fan of this series for a long time. In the very crowded game release schedule of stuff I want to get this year, this one stands out. It's in my "shut up and take my money" category.

I played a lot of the original Age of Wonders growing up. This seems like a great modern twist on fantasy 4x games, but I just wish that I had time to play it like I did when I was younger!

The amount of care and detail that the studio put into this game is amazing to see. I haven't played a game that engaged my pursuit of mysticism and wonder for a long time now; and this looks like it fits the bill.

Even just looking at the amount of detail and customization that you can put into your army before the game even starts speaks volumes as to how intricate and fun this game can be.

The studio clearly poured their heart and soul into the amount of imagination that they put into this, and I appreciate the hell out of that. It sucks that it has been buggy, but I am sure that will get fixed in the coming weeks with patches.

Shadow Magic was my favorite AoW game but part 4 interests me. The customization makes it a day 1 purchase.

Man, I remember back in the day playing the first Age of Wonders, it's amazing the game is still getting sequels, it's one of the best fantasy turn-based games! I'm surely going to get this!

The amount of different races is what makes this game look cool, I love fantasy which makes it better. Adding it to my wish lis for the future

I've been on a big 4x kick lately and the big Paradox sale going on made me curious about this. So of course I went for my go to review channel. Great job as usual, ACG! Nobody else makes me feel like I'm getting no BS, quality game opinions like you!

Been subscribed to the channel for years now & you're one of the only video game channels that I've stayed with & haven't unsubscribed from. You've always been a very humble & decent man who delivers unbiased insights to titles I would have never even heard of, & many that I have heard of but wasn't interested in until you convinced me that choosing to ignore these aforementioned titles was naught but my own ignorant folly.

Anywho, I've been a bad consumer of your content & have rarely commented on any of your videos, so I felt it was my civic duty for you, & the community you've created, to post this comment in hopes another measly drop in the algorithm 🪣 helps put your name out there. Edit: this game looks insanely addictive to me. If only I had a gaming PC to enjoy it myself 😅

Edit #2: Karak, you said you "knew the devs were onto something" after talking about the 🦄 having a 🌈 trail behind it as it galloped... My assumption is either you've never played RDR1: Undead Nightmare & went to 🇲🇽 to lasso youse a 🦄 with a 🌈 trail (though this one also has 🦋 included in that trail), or you were talking about the fact that your character also just so happens to be some dope 🐸-man-🧙‍♂️-🤴 riding on a majestic rainbow-expelling unicorn.... I'm gonna just assume the latter is true since this sum of all this game's parts are truly something worth experiencing & the devs are most definitely into something here (also I just can't find myself believing you of all people haven't played Red Dead 1's dlc 🙃)
