I work out a lot, but I do need to incorporate more squats and dead lifts/squats into my leg day routine. Today is legs and arms day, so it's a good time to get started. I already do squat presses, but I can definitely say that doing those and regular squats are 2 totally different things. The 1st time I did regular squats, I got so freakin sore that I could barely walk the next day and that surprised me. But, I learned a lot from that and isn't that what it's all about?

As golf movement maximum bang for buck is deadlift on straight bar. There's no need to squat and no need to use a trap bar because proper deadlift already has enough leg drive to carry to golf where quad usage is minimal. To maximise golf carry over fast singles creating explosive power would result in most carry to distance.

I've used the trap bar for years and it's a top piece of equipment. My advice is to use this as opposed to a standard barbell as I really messed up my lower back with barbell squats and rows. 10 months of recovery and I haven't touched a barbell squat since !!

Great tips and would love to see views on flexibility as I'm considering yoga. I'm a couple of months off 50 and really want to maintain strength and flexibility in order to stay competitive on the golf course against these young guns 😀

how to get a better golf swing
try Magonsi Amazing Golf Expert (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.
