How to Write a Ritual to the Norse Gods

In this video we discuss how to perform a ritual to the Heathen Gods using the Reconstructionist method. We'll also go a little into how that method works. And this video contains probably the worst pun I've ever allowed into a video on my channel. I do not apologize for this at all. I am indignant and a sinner.

Your rituals are far more structured and christianized than what I do personally (not bashing). Which takes from the conversion in Scandinavia, you being a more strictly historical follower, this makes sense. I personally don't ever do anything in groups (only my wife sometimes being with me), but I take from experience and earlier historical practices (before and the beginning of the viking age) so a large majority of my interaction with the gods happens in my home, or nearby in the woods by myself. Blóts on special occasions are usually the only time I prepare anything (charcoal paint, rune sticks for burning, and animals).

I learned from a Germanic druid first, but sadly lost contact. Years later, I found a Scandinavian goði to finish my training.
He passed away last year, but gave me his sickle and last writings, very much saying that I am now no longer an apprentice but a full goði. I held a few rituals already, but it still feels wild. There are so many small differences between the Germanic ritus and the Scandinavian ritus, it is quite amazing. I wonder how extreme those differences in rituals were back when these two siðar were practiced more intensely...

I don't do the beginning space hallowing ritual you mentioned. From what I've seen, modern pagans borrowed that from Wiccan "casting of the circle/hallowing of the compass" rituals and it has a basis in more modern occult and mysticism practices. I usually do stuff based on common Indo-European ritual elements and patterns identified when comparing Germanic literature with that other Indo-European groups.
