I figured it out. In your location settings, select ‘always’ instead of ‘whiles using’

Here is a way to actually fix it since people are saying that all 6 solutions that are not working
try to change your sound to alerts only and then switch it back to the normal sound alert.
If this did not help I cannot find another solution to fix the no sound in Apple Maps.
