I was using apple CarPlay no problem and then one day it said it would only give important announcements. That was confusing it announced there was a speed camera but didn't give me directions. Anyway thanks to your video I saw that the loudspeaker icon on the map had an exclamation mark through it. Seeing your video I touched the top speaker and now it actually announces directions for where I'm going. Thank You so much.

I guess it depends on which iPhone you have, on my iPhone 11 voice directions have no volume controls.

I’m confused. ( old dog new tricks) I think it’s because I have an old phone ( 7) and I pad, ( version 17.3) I don’t get the option of raising the volume on my I phone, and no volume option on my iPad. I’m assuming that’s the reason?
