The cars of the 50s and 60s, with their unique classic lines were works of art. Classic masterpieces. You could order them any way you liked, any color combination, any engine configuration, you could even personalize them for a few extra bucks. NOW, the manufacturers limit your choices. Of course, how prices are now, you either buy a house or you buy a car, many can't afford both. Thats why we see expensive cars in trailer parks and townhouses. Or you see very nice homes with reasonably priced cars. The affluent have both.

Dad had one about this year. Swapped it with a friend for a jet boat but (somehow?) got the motor in the deal which is still in the jet boat.
I grew up listening to the open 327 screaming in my ear at lake outings
