Starship 20 Heat Shield Review TPS Tile Install SN20 S 20 SpaceX Boca Chica TX Starbase Star

This is 4K video footage created from downsampled 8K video. It's the best 4K quality footage there is. This is a few video clips and photos I took today 9/6/21 of Starship 20's heat shield being worked on. You can observe some of the workers installing the TPS tiles by hand.

Love those close-ups! Makes me realize the size of TPS tiles, they're about a foot wide! Here's a handy tip for you when tilting and panning a camera: attach a long rod to the camera control stick, giving you a greater leverage resulting in much smoother movement.

Aren't they concerned about bumping and damaging tiles with the lift? It can really swing around being so high in a windy place.

I see some red colored tiles as well as some red coloring in between the tiles. Are they trying some different application

seems like plenty of places where irregular shaped tiles are used, i wonder how reliable is shielding in areas next to moving parts like those small wings. Anybody know are there any longer plans to use something else but tiles? This seem like its going to have all of the issues that shuttles had

Don't understand why tiles applied while vertical... vs. when horizontal.

So many critical miss or loosen tiles, if so much as one, can be devisrating, starship may require being fully layered of original structure metalic of heat shield ability, thus areascnot to be exposed, be painted of bright/logo colorings.
