PSA: grabbing possible fibreglass with your hands is not a good idea. Even if you dont know if it is or isnt, it is never a good idea to grab the stuff. Damaged or disturbed fibreglass can make the dust airborne, and you dont want that in your lungs! Glad you weren't hurt!! ♡

u can get fiberglass splinters super easy, sometimes by js touching it you can get them so the fact in the vid b4 when he went in the attic and grabbed some and didn’t get fiberglass splinter should’ve been a dead give away that it didn’t have fiberglass

So that is insulation, which if you didn’t know has tiny shards of glass in it, that’s why it might be shiny or irritating to the skin. It has it in there for soundproofing and for adding warmth to your home. If you get it on you, you should wash it off in cold water. Hope that helps

Someone once wrapped my hand for me when I got hurt. They found what looked like just a thicker band of some rolled up black material. Almost reminds me of a seatbelt the way it looked? Anyways, few minutes later my arm is itching like Yeah, all materials I had touched had to be cleaned thoroughly and it took a WHILE and lots and lots of cleaning to remove the little SPARKLES. We didn’t realize it had fiberglass in it. -_- lesson learned. Fiber glass IS NOT always one color 🤒🥹😅🤣

The yellow/brown one is insulation so if you hold it for to long it will start to itch so you need to wash your hands immediately

As a kid I hung out with a friend, her family was building a huge apartment complex. One day we found a room full of fluff and played in it. Until one of the construction workers came and with a mix of shock and anger told us to stop and never do it again. I didn't understand why, until later when my arms and legs started to hurt from all the mini splinters.. the 90s were great 😂

Fiberglass doesn't really cause pain or a stabbing feeling, Generally it just makes an intense itching feeling and depending on how much and how long is how bad the itching will be, Always wash your hands after touching fiberglass.

if it is fiberglass, if it’s making your finger glittery either into your hands or just on your hands and it really hurts and if it is in your hands, get a cold shower, do not get a hot shower or use tweezers they’ll shatter hot shower, open or pours and it will let the fiberglass in deeper
