I can never get the sig figs correct even when i try to count them up the same way they show in the explanation. For example, I had to do 0.1 + 0.803 + 1.2 + 0.2 and then divide by 3 which = 0.701. I assumed the correct answer will be 0.7 but it was wrong.

I find this aleks probably difficult although the math is extremely easy. The amount of sig figs never makes sense.

For some reason I also keep getting the significant digits incorrect for the average type question. When I read the aleks explanation it didn’t make any sense to me so I keep getting it wrong. Do you have any ideas on why this might be? For example, after dividing 6.183 by 3, it counts 6.183 as 3 significant digits and therefore expects my answer to be 3 significant digits but how could I have known that?

the sig figs in this answer are wrong. The answer should be 9.74 * 10^-2 g/mL
