How to Add and Subtract with Complex Numbers

We learn how to add and subtract with complex numbers. When adding two complex numbers the result is a complex number whose real part equals to the sum of the real parts of the original numbers and whose imaginary part equals to the sum of their imaginary parts.
Similarly, when subtracting one complex number from another, we subtract the real and imaginary parts of the complex number (being subtracted) from the first.
