The world will be a strange place when aging is cured, we can boost intelligence by two standard deviations using various means, everyone can enhance their appearance using sex hormones and the like, and everyone is in a state of hypomania due to increasing acceptance of various dopaminergic drugs -- not to even mention psychedelics. I foresee a pretty strong return to thinking about classical philosophical questions of epistemology, ethics, metaphysics which will grip the everyman once our biological imperatives become trivialities.

Bet if you could somehow determine it you would find that 90% of all the progress the human race has made throughout history could be attributed to roughly ten thousand people, out of all the billions who have lived and died.  George Church would likely be one of those people.
