The narcissist will use Gaslighting to confuse you and create a cognitive dissonance that distorts your sense of reality and you are not sure if they are telling the truth or being honest. Most of the time, victims of narcissistic abuse knew deep down that the narcissist was lying and yet because of the cognitive dissonance, chose to believe them only to get burned in the end.

True very true...Thats what i did. I moved three hours out of town. No flying monkeys no ex no past. I moved and started from ground zero. New town new friends new scenery.😮🎉❤ and a new me!! Not totally healed but much better!

that's exactly what I did. I moved 1200 miles from my beloved NYC and extremely well paying job to escape the narcissist nutcase. She was too much to bear. Circa: 1997. She's still wint let up.
