I am learning Scratch (total newbie) to teach my students (children 8 to 14)... I am 55 ... not new to coding ...old school C programmer ... I found Scratch a bit different (hmmmm !!!) but I loved your tutorial ...Scratch started making sense (not yet there though)

tip, Do a create clone and in the start as clone, put make a clone of yourself and delete clone. Your game will run very well, and your friends will be impressed.

Ive been using scratch on and off for about 6 years, I just recently found out that per sprite variables are also per clone variables…

It took me about two hours to find out THAT was why my code wasnt working.

Looks like its time to relearn the basics, because I obviously missed some stuff.
