The Untold Truth Of Jesus

Jesus of Nazareth — what's up with that guy? Jesus is a central character in the stories of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, but he was also very likely a real historical figure who taught peaceful resistance and made passionate metaphysical claims. Historians have a hard time isolating real historical facts about the person of Jesus Christ, but it's typically agreed upon that he made an important change in ancient Middle Eastern society when it came to the treatment of children, the role of women in society, cultural views on humility and cooperation, and a great many other notions in popular philosophy. Crucified by the Romans, his influence has nonetheless stretched to this day. This is the untold truth of Jesus.

"Jesus was overtly on the side of the poor, the excluded, the ignored, the disenfranchised, and the exploited."
Yeah, tell that to the Catholic leaders who like to rub elbows with politicians and the elites. Especially during elections or social events. Let's face it. Most of these "leaders" are living more like the Romans who persecuted Jesus than Jesus himself. Heck, Vatican was a part of Italy. In my country, it is very rare to see a priest who will perform services for free. Apparently, "blessing" has a price tag.

Never been a big fan of this guy's fanbase, but some of the ideas ascribed to him sound pretty based.

<9:34> I discovered the importance of Jesus & Mary in Islam through a Mosque I passed by in Chinatown while I was touring Singapore... In their gate, a mural depicted their reverence in Mary with high regard how they are also important to Muslims in the teachings of the Quran...
this made me feel pleased proud and appreciative of our brother Muslims... as mentioned here though Jesus & Mary are not worshipped the same way as us Christians but their importance in teachings of the Quran cannot be ignored...

Really appreciate the way you explained this. It wasn't persuasive, but rather informative and gave great grounds to do more research.

When he said Yeshua, a tear almost fell from my eye 😁. Didn’t think they’d put that in there.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Something I learned in Catholic school, and through plain science...Jesus is usually portrayed as having nails through his hands and feet. The reality I heard, is to be crucified through under the wrist, between the two forearm bones to hold a person there so they are assured to remain there. The feet were nailed, but also with a support under the feet so they would not fall off the cross or T.

Jesus was a champion for women but if the Jewish Law is studied in the context of the time it gives women more rights and protection than any other at that time. People like to point out that woman could be stoned for committing adultery but men could as well. Many know the story of the woman who had been caught in the act of adultery being brought to Jesus to see if she should be stoned and he said the one who hasn’t sinned should be the first to throw the stone. What most people don’t know is that those bringing her to him were not following the Law because the man should have been brought with her.

Jesus is the most controversial historical figure of our time. To think his story can’t be misconstrued over 2000+ years is ludicrous. Noone knows for sure.

There is actually no undisputed historical evidence that the person of Jesus is anything but religious allegory.

Interesting how this came up in my feed after I was watching Jesus Christ Superstar today. Something I noticed from that movie was the almost romantic relationship he had with Mary Magdeline in the movie, but it didn't sound that way in the Bible.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth.
