Hello dear friends, welcome to The Innovati0n Lab!
In this video, we're diving into the exciting world of electronics with a practical and budget-friendly project: building a Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) DC to DC Boost Converter from scratch. Whether you're a beginner enthusiast or a seasoned maker, this tutorial is designed to empower you to create a versatile power supply without breaking the bank.

Why Build Your Own Converter?
Commercial DC to DC converters can be pricey and in some cases, present a lot of output, power, voltage and current limitations especially those with adjustable CV and CC capabilities. Our DIY approach not only saves you money but also gives you the satisfaction of mastering essential electronics skills. Plus, you can customize your converter to suit your specific project needs!

What You'll Learn:
- Step-by-step construction of a DC to DC Boost Converter circuit.
- Understanding the principles behind Constant Voltage and Constant Current modes (design schematic overview).
-How to select and integrate affordable components for optimal performance (Inductor design tool).
- We will discuss some issues and lessons learned.

The schematic will be uploaded to our website in the next few days.

Thanks for the detailed analysis over this. Watched it completely only one concern is will this beat the conventional tl494 boost boards available on internet. Other than that great results no doubts. Also do a detailed analysis on the schematic next time also it would be really great if you could share a whole schematic image link.

What about 48 to 300V output? It will be useful for small EV car AUX power sorce

cool ... is it possible to try by using double inductor coil in parallel ... so the outlook of inductor doesn't to big ... i'm enjoying watch your channel ... thanks

Hello, nice work! Congs!!
Would you kindly share the schematics and gerb files?

You could try a double stage with two inductors. If each stage can be configured for a gain of 4-5, then you would be able to use schotky diode and low voltage stage to boost, the first stage to 60-90V. On the second stage you can then use a hyper fast diode and a higher voltage mosfet yto boost that to 200-300V using the same gate control signals.

This would have an advantage that the duty cycle would not go too low, thereby increasing efficiency and allowing a wider output range.

Wonderful job 🎉!! I will continue to track your progress.fingers 🤞
I am actually looking for a slightly different booster design that yields lots of current with low pressure differerence between input/output rather than go for highest voltage on the out. I am looking for 50-80amps output on an 25-29V input for charging a Lithium pack at stable 29.4v (low ripple noise is key).

Do you think it would be possible to use your design as basis for such purpose ?

Hello sir... Can you make a circuit dc to dc boost converter that has input of 25vdc to 55vdc and the output is constant voltage and current 350vdc at 12amp

Please, I need your input.
I have a single cell of 3.2v lithium battery 🔋of 185ah.
My Ebike is 24v systems.

Can I use this 3.2v battery with a step up ⬆️ converter on my ebike? Will it last, what is your advice.
Thanks 🙏

Hi everyone,
I hope you guys find this video informative. As I mentioned in the video, the design is still at the prototype stage. The goal is to share the progress with you guys. This way, some of us could try replicating the design on their own. I know that a lot of us have been asking for the schematics and design updates. It is all captured in this video. The overall goal has been to develop an affordable design. Giving the high demand for power systems and converters, my dream is to build a versatile product that almost anyone can afford. Cutting edge designs are very expensive to make and, in the end, would present the same output power bottlenecks that we are working so hard to circumvent.

I will be uploading the schematic pdf to our website soon.
Feel to visit the website at www.theinnovati0nlab.com

This video has been 3 months in the making, and I am happy that we were able to get the prototype /bread board to work after multiple cuts and jumpers. Thank you for your inspiration and support.
Please share your constructive feedback as always.

👍❤️
Thanks again.
Very respectfully,
