You missed the most useful feature! To open the shade and the sunroof at the same time, pull the switch back twice in quick succession. Even the BMW sales person didn't know about this.

There seems to be two designs of these roofs, one slides up and over, the other slides down and under. Is that specific to range?

How or what can cause the side defroster mirrors on a 2007 BMW 325i not to operate/defrost?

Pleaee correct, that is a sky roof not moonroof
