How To Delete Your Gmail Account

Google allows you to save your data before permanently deleting your account. To do this:
1. Login to your Google account.
3. Select "Export your data."
4. Check the data you’d like to save
5. Hit “Next Step”
6. Click the dropdown next to “Send download via link”
7. Select the frequency
8. Use the dropdown to select the file type and size you want, and click “Create Export”

You’ll get an email when the export is complete, which can take a few hours or days.

This is CRAZY! This is the only information that helped me! I make temp emails all the time and now they make it seem like your one master email account is forever linked to these unwanted Gmails! Good Lord! WHY? Why did they make this SO hard?

Unfortunately seems that gmail has changed the site you posted. Now it only shows two of the four options in your instructions (or is it only for me?): "Delete a Google Service" and "Download your Data", but non of the others. Pls help me find where is the "Delete your Account" option

I'm afraid this operation failed. It says that the service is not available on my account. It's a Gmail account that I no longer use. But it can't be deleted.
