Alabama Football Scrimmage Rumors On Jalen Milroe, Ryan Williams, Caleb Odom & Position Battles

Alabama Football wrapped its first scrimmage of Fall practice on Saturday and AL.com beat writer for the Crimson Tide, Nick Kelly, has outlined a few takeaways from those in attendance. Kalen DeBoer’s press conference confirmed that Jalen Milroe has been improving this offseason which was also highlighted in Kelly’s article. Ryan Williams and Caleb Odom are two very talented freshman WR who will be difficult to keep off the field. The position battles at RT and CB are still ongoing as well as LT Overton making a push for the Bandit position along the DL. Transfer TE Josh Cuevas also caught a TD pass from Ty Simpson on Saturday which continues his run to become TE2 for Alabama this season.

“Milroe has displayed noticeable improvement, per multiple onlookers. A common review for Milroe from the scrimmage is that he is progressing and looks more polished. One way he has improved: His decision making. Milroe sounds to be making better decisions in the throws he makes, how he gets rid of the ball and how he runs the offense.”

If is true no one will come closer than 14 points and that includes Ga, and no Jalen was awful last year he couldn't throw short passes consistently, an read defenses, if you throw 166 yards in a game you shouldn't QB again, but we believe this year Daboer an Nick can teach him to be a QB with that freakish athleticism

Ive seen nothing from Jalen to change to make me thinks hes gotten better. Coach D said yesterday the qbs are still holding on to the ball too long which jalen did a LOT last season. We will see in 20 days. Its WKU but it should be a good game to see if he's improved and how much. Im pullin for him but not everyone is cut out to be great. I'm worried him learning a new system might be too much as well
