My Custom LSA Accessory Drive

It’s almost a requirement to run AC here in Phoenix, which limited my LSA accessory drive options. None of the commercially-available solutions that I found were able to fill the needs of my build. What’s a guy to do? Make his own bracket, of course.

In this video I show you the AC and tensioner bracket that I designed for my LSA swap. It‘s made from 3/8” thick aluminum and uses off-the shelf parts to minimize cost and maximize reliability.

-8-rib tensioner: Dayco PN 89481
-8-rib idler bracket: stock 2011 CTSv
-8-rib upper idler: GM PN 1260631 (stock 2011 CTSv)
-8-rib lower idler: 50mm OD (aftermarket)
-6-rib tensioner: Dayco PN 38328 (C5 Corvette)
-70mm smooth 6-rib idler pulley: Dayco PN 89052
-Water pump: stock 2011 CTSv
-Crank pulley: stock 2011 CTSv
-Power steering pump/pulley: stock C5 Corvette
-Alternator: stock 105 amp from a 2001 Silverado 6.0L
-Alternator + power steering bracket: ICT Billet PN 551787A-3

just for your information, our LSA Race Drive when properly setup will provide 5-10% more boost that the factory LSA your horror story you heard was probably from someone who didn't properly tension the belt. we have Race Drive's on professional drift cars that run the engine on the rev limiter with no slip...and we have car's running well over 800HP on a 8 rib
