Short answer: it really depends on his position.

If he is an attacker, the Adidas F50 are great (bottom) because they give a lot of speed and are great for making runs in behind.

If he plays midfield, the Nike Phantom Lunas (top) are probably better because they give great ball control and touch, and are also durable.

If he is a defender/keeper, the Adidas Copa Pures are far and away the best because of their comfort, control, and are just overall well rounded.

That being said: choose your personal favorite! Just because something is optimal doesn’t mean you have to choose it. If you prefer a specific style, go for it! Hope this helps, and I look forward to seeing what you choose!

To everyone saying the bright blue ones, respectfully, learn the names of the cleats. Also cleats can also affect someone’s performance and as well as personality. It also depends on the position you or someone else is playing. Now I will admit, I only know the name of one pair but I can tell by materials and looks which boot he should choose. If he wants to be a striker then he should go with the blue ones or the F50s. If he wants to play an attacking midfielder then he should get the F50s. If he wants to be a defender he should go with the white cleats.
