Always remember, ladies; though mens' sizes are based on actual measurements, womens' clothes are the wild west. At one point womens' clothing was actually regulated over brands. However, now, there is none of that. Brands, generally now, size their clothes based on who buys their clothes.
Try to seperate that number from you, yourself, if you can. Like she said, just think of it like a shoe size. Don't let the conceit of others, and of these brands take your self-love away from you. You deserve more than what that number makes you feel.

clothes are supposed to fit us, we’re not supposed to fit into clothes

This video is so important: it shows that anyone, no matter what size, can be insecure about their bodies/how clothes fit on their bodies. Finding clothes that fit how you want them to fit, and that make you feel comfortable and confident is sooo important.

This is so inspiring - as someone who holds on to a lot of guilt over clothes not fitting the same as I’ve gotten older the thought about letting them go because they don’t serve my body anymore makes so much sense. Thanks to the both of you for your story and taking us on this journey. I’m definitely going to give it a go myself!

Mei is so brave, sharing her mental health struggles even though it's hard for her.

So happy to see modest dressing represented! I don't have a religious reason for dressing modest, I just feel more comfortable and it is so nice to see modest styling represented.

This really hit home for me, after I got married I gained a bit of weight. There were a lot of pants I had that didn’t fit me anymore and it really broke me, but 4 years later I’ve learned to embrace my body for what it is. Videos like this are truly so important and uplifting so thank you for this 💕

Tahirah LITERALLY spoke everything I have ever felt as a plus-sized hijabi and I am glad to see this representation!! 🙌

as someone who has gained around 35-40 pounds in the past year, i resonate with this. it hurts knowing that a lot of my jeans and skirts and shirts dont fit anymore, but it's empowering to embrace what my body looks like today.

Tahirah putting on her prayer clothes to easily cover-up, just to film herself shopping at home, is some of the most relatable content I've ever seen on YouTube as a hijabi (she's also so stunning and I'm so happy to see her in this video)

Love Tahirah's outfits and interpretation of her modest style, I feel like I haven't seen such a cool version of that before. All power to Mei too, hope she feels as gorgeous as she looks in her new outfits.

11:57 omfg tahirah that outfit is genuinely AMAZING, so good. so proud of both of you. i think 90% of my wardrobe doesnt fit anymore so this was helpful for me.

I think Mei should do a Marie Kondo-style cleanout of her space/wardrobe! She's been through a lot, and she needs to be surrounded by things that empower her and make her feel joy.

I think a white collared shirt would look very cute with the purple top.

Friendly Reminder for young women: The numbers you see on your jeans are quite literally that, just a number. Women's sizing is so incredibly arbitrary, like if you can internalize that the numbers on your pants are nonsense that aren't even standardized from store to store you can just see as your starting point that's easy to grab when finding pants you look hot in

The ladies both rocked this challenge. This year I started using the affirmation "my body is well, able, and beautiful." And for the first time bought myself crop tops and high waisted jeans even though my body has changed and I feel so cute in those fits!

As a person who has most of the eating disorders, I really do understand their feelings and the reason for every tear they shed.
You guys really don't know how much it's a blessing to live without having an eating disorder, without hating yourself and judging it harshly for eating one spoon more, without even depriving yourselves from water because it will change the number on the scale....
