Be prepared. I went to bed before Hurricane Michael thinking it would weaken overnight and be downgraded, only to wake up realizing it became a category 4 storm. In the end it was a Cat 5, and destroyed about 60% of the housing in my area. I was in a house the roof ripped right off of early and we had to endure. It was a nightmare.

i remember when no one paid attention to tropical depressions. first time recieving "warnings" for an unnamed storm (my employer sent this whole statement friday). its a noticable change in approach. wonder if its bc so many non-native Floridians are here now. hopefully the stress motivates them

Don't mislead people about tropical storms and a hurricane, I have been through some tropical storms that have been way worst than a hurricane. Just be prepared, and know your evacaution and flood zones. Just know that weather can change in a blink of eye. Always be prepared, plan for the the worse and pray for the best..

Should be called "The Bad Weather Channel" since that's all they cover. Or maybe "The Southeast Weather Channel" for obvious reasons. There are 48 states in the Continental US and they cover maybe 1/2 of them. "If it ain't Rainy and Windy, it ain't weather" must be their moto.
The Western half of America is on fire and TWC can't give it the time of day. 👎
