Good morning, here is today's prayer...
Good morning Lord,
I am so thankful that You have called me to Your purposes on this earth.
I am grateful for Your salvation in Jesus and the comfort You have given me through Your Holy Spirit.
As I start this new day, I join the Apostle Paul in praying...
I run straight toward the goal
to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers
in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14
Please give to me a clear mind, a pure heart and a touch of Your wisdom to do what is good and right this day.
May my life and my work glorify You and be pleasing in Your sight.
In the wise name of Jesus I pray,

The Holy Spirit: The Spirit of Counsel
The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge
and of the fear of the LORD.
Isaiah 11:2

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Counsel; He can guide you in decision making and can show you where you must go. He can help you solve problems so that you will choose right paths for today.
O Spirit of Counsel, I don’t trust my ability to discern what I see. Come help me make good choices today.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Counsel; He will help you understand the principles of Scripture, upon which you make decisions; but you must carefully study the Word to know what He wants you to do. He is the Spirit of Counsel to give you wisdom through the insights of other believers, but you must weigh carefully their motives and grasp of the situation before making decisions. He is the Spirit of Counsel who speaks to you through your common sense to make correct choices, but you must be yielded to His control. He can even guide you as you examine the lessons you’ve learned from past experiences; but in the final analysis, you must do what the Holy Spirit wants you to do.
O Spirit of Counsel, I will carefully study the Scriptures to know Your principles; help me see Your specific plan for my life. I will listen to the counsel of mature believers; help me determine the best action for my life. I will use the common sense You’ve given me; help me remember what You’ve taught me in the past. I will apply my mind to acquire as many facts as possible about my decisions so that You can guide me to choose what is best. Amen.
