Every Christian receives the Holy Spirit when he or she becomes a reborn Christian. This is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, but to be filled with the spirit is different. Growing up as a Southern Baptist in the USA, the Holy Spirit was always vague to me (the preaching I saw only added to the confusion).
