Cancelling this type of plan incurs a cancellation fee, which I will demonstrate by showing you Adobe's pricing plans and how the fees are calculated if you cancel an annual plan with monthly pricing.

I had same problem, wrote to their support, they changed my plan to fixed 28 USD fee annual package and which I cancelled next day and I managed to reimburse all paid money. But this is the worst user experience I ever had. Adobe will loose customer base, if they don't change this scammy approach

I learned the hard way as well many year back but more as a Photoshop user,
The prepaid one was the best option by far, sure its the whole year cost - but least to say if i cancel there i do not have to think of any fees by doing so.
Most weirdest and a uncomfortable experienced i had and something i never seen before and wish no one to trip into it. Wish tho they had a normal subscription like any other services.

But certainly it has teaching me to always read the ToS ( Terms of Service ) when it comes to payment at any services with a subscription module after that.

Same thing happened to us with the Stock photo subscription. Questionable business practice to say the least as it is not clear. We tried to cancel and luckily we also had a CC subscription. Once we threatened to cancel both they backed down and let us cancel Stock photo without penalty. These days there are good alternatives to Adobe which we will be looking into.

ThisThey got me too. Thought I was signing up for $20.00 monthly plan. I didn’t realize I was signing up for a full year contract. I’ll be calling on Monday to get this sorted out.

Unfortunately i had to learned the hard way, i didn't sign up for any monthly charge i just wanted to use the free trial but some how they had my card charge for an unreasonable amount, when i tried to cancel the subscription they kept saying update payment for what exactly 😤... I haven't even waited until the trial was ended just realized they scam me.

There's actually w way around this Termination Fee, that you can do WITHOUT cancelling your Credit Card. When you go to the Cancellation page, you want to go until the "Special Offers" page. There, you want to find "Switch to a new plan. Select ANY plan, regardless if its higher or lower. Now, go through the process of switching over to that plan. Once the accounts switched, you want to go to the cancel page for that plan you just signed up for. Adobe treats this like a new subscription, so you can cancel this as you are within 14 days. Hope this helped some people.

Hi had the same problem. I was thinking what if I changed from pro plan to the cheaper pdf pack plan then cancel that one? But I’m not clear on whether it also has a year long commitment attached to it as well

I too made the mistake of signing up for the Annual, paid monthly but for all apps!! When you visit the cancel early page where I live, it re-diredt you to the local page and that table of cancelation fee's disappears! Can only see that if i ignore the prompt to re-direct and stay on the page for the USA. Its a great product but their subscription signup is at a minimum confusing, bordering on misleading

After 2 months using Adobe Acrobat at $20 per month, Adobe CHARGED $90 CANCELLATION FEE! Outrageous!!

Hi Aki,
At around 8:21 of your video, Adobe is offering $0 USD for two months. If the plan is chosen, is it possible to cancel the whole subscription without the risk of paying the included annual fees? Adobe claims to say that cancelling within the first 14 days of a purchase would negate any additional charges and I'm hoping if there is any loophole to avoid such outrageous payments. Otherwise, it was a very informative and helpful video for others experiencing the same issue. Thanks!

I called to cancel my pro plan after being in the plan for 6 months but they offered me pro for 9.99 a month which is nice but it starts a whole new annual plan. I can tell the guy was working from home somewhere in another country because I could hear vehicle horns going off like traffic and I had a good ear for how certain horns on certain vehicles sound so I already felt like something was going on because the offer was too attractive and of course no one is going to try and help me get out of my contract. he kept avoiding certain questions I would ask like if I are today and decide to cancel in a few months will I still pay 50% of that? he said yes so it was a new contract and him trying to keep me on a plan.
