A writer was accompanying Boxing Champ Joe Louis, through his day for a story about the Champ. They got on a bus and as they walked to the back other passengers greeted the Champ with glowing words. Near the back one large burly man said to Joe Louis as they walked by "you ain't nothin to me" Joe said nothing and when he and writer got seated the Writer asked aren't you going to say something to that guy? He insulted you. Joe looked at him and said people like that are nobody, so if I speak out to him in the eyes of other people, he becomes somebody. I don't need him, I know who I am.
