I live next to 3 wind farms. The wind stops blowing in Nebraska and wind turbines sit there doing nothing. You're going to still need coal in those instances.

I have lived in WV all my life and, thank you, Jessie Watters, for parroting my thoughts when you said "was he (Joe Manchin) born yesterday!" Don't go easy on him! And yes, he is up for reelection in 2 years and if there is a decent Republican candidate we just may kick him to the curb. We are tired of his wishy-washy voting. We can't depend on him and that means he may have to go. He has proven himself to be a "party" man (meaning he lets the Democrats control him) and we are sick of it!

I'm glad he mentioned the issue of "where are these coal workers going to go?" Most coal mines are located in areas already economically depressed. There are not a lot of economic opportunities in these places, which is why people risk their health working in the mines to begin with. I want better for my people (the people of Eastern Ky) but we have to face the reality and plan for it, not just dump everyone off of fossil fuels (and out of their jobs) at the outset of a recession.

Wind turbines are not recyclable, the lithium batteries are not recyclable and there are not enough wind turbines or solar panels on line to support going this way.

I live in Wyoming wind farms don't produce enough energy and you still have to run it through a coal powered plant. And the green deal is not green at all. You will always need petroleum.
