I had the pleasure of meeting John Fogerty right after he released this song while he was playing in Cleveland. I asked him where he got the ideas for the lyrics from, because the song really touched me. He shrugged his shoulders and said “Just life”.

This song will always be relevant because it speaks to the false reality we live in then and now more than ever.... Thank you Mr.Fogerty...

This song does not infer any deception. This is about the purity of America before it got so bad. He's singing about the most sincere moments and honorable and talented people. People who were happy to express themselves how they saw fit, and the world loved them for it. This is not about conspiracy theory s. Its about having the most precious and loosing it, only to realize we were taking these people for granted. And the entire story was told on tv.

My God, one of the most moving songs & the perfect video footage to accompany it. Fogarty lived this era, as did so many of us. He has the ability and talent to tell this story, an incredible true story in music. Thank you John. Your contribution to our lives...your incredible music is priceless

Great video and song...i was born in 76 so a bit late, but my mom raised us with CCR and John Foggerty. While everyone around me was listening to 90s music, i was stuck in the 70s..
This video you put together brought tears to my eyes. Its so sad whats happened throughout history and why....when i first heard of RFK Jr years ago and the environmental causes he was fighting for, i thought wow, what it mustve been like to be alive when his uncle and father were...When i saw he was running for president, I felt connected to history, proud, and excited for the first time ever about politics. RFK Jr is a REAL person, honest, not a typical politician, however, reality set in and i realized "they" will never let RFK Jr anywhere near the Whitehouse for those very reasons 😔...May God protect him🙏 This song came to my mind and that's how i got here.

For us baby boomers this song really hits home. I had the chance to see John Fogerty a few years ago at our County Fair. Still as good as ever!

John Fogerty "was" CCR! Without John's voice and music, CCR would have never been what they were. I still love his music.

In my opinion this is Fogerty`s best song i`ve ever heard.
It`s sò intens, so the old sound of CCR is also in this song.
That`s why i like this song sò much.
And it`s true.
