Another great tutorial. I was able to apply these during my 10kts session yesterday and it made a great difference.
I used to make the mistake of choking the kite, partly because I didn't get a steering response when sheeted out.
One key point to highlight here is that when sheeted out you will need a lot more exaggerated steering input for the kite to respond. At least twisting the bar fully to make it parallel with the lines. Sometimes even more by grabbing the float or the steering line directly and yanking them.

The other reason beginners like me tend to pull the bar in is to trying to pull yourself up to standing - this may be a legacy from windsurfing days, I don't know. Great tips, thanks for taking the time to make this!

Great video. Also a useful tip for relaunch kite on deep water which is sticked to the water, is to pull one stearing line and opposite front line for low V. Bend the knees and do some sort of push to avoid dragging. I'm using such technic for my contra 17.
