I'd like to point out that at 1:17 the White comet, the size of Jupiter is likely on the far right where the straight beam propagates outwides into a spiral.
We can assume this since the the beam itself is coming offscreen likely from the yamato. Colliding with something big and expanding out.

Now I haven't done the maths for this hear but I'd say the total height we see on screen is likely the size, if not bigger, than the sun
