Wave Motion Gun

The signature weapon of the Space Battleship Yamato, which blew my mind when I first saw it in the 70's under the American title "Star Blazers". Those bad guys never stood much of a chance.

That is almost certainly the Star Blazers version of the sound effect, it has that horse neighing sound that was added on for Star Blazers.
