We put a special glue on the cone. This makes the product waterproof and enhances the toughness of the cone. Make the speakers stronger and increase the service life.

I did this last night to 2 15 inch midbass they are about 30 years old. And literally painted them with atleast 2 coats. They look brand new, and frankly they sound exactly the same, it did not effect the original sound quality at all.

I mix 1 part PVA glue with 1 part Black ink (as used in waterbased inkjet printer) . It is thinner, and dries to a nice shiny black. Can use as many layers as necessary to achieve the result you want..

Do you know what is a good treatment for aging bextrene cones, those black shiny cones as seen in older Audax and Kef woofers? As bextrene cones age they tend to dry up and the sound develops a corresponding hardness. What substance can I use to rejuvenate this odd cone material?

a better medium to use is a waterproofing spray like Thompsons water seal.

I used electical liquid tape on some cracks and cmpletely coated one with it. Seemed to work ok, but I don't know about long term.

you now have changed the characteristics of the speaker by adding weight and stiffness to the cone.

Hello! is it a latex solution? I bought a beyma speaker repair kit and it had a tube with a solution for cone protection and latex-like suspension!

Make your paper cone moisture proof use any kind of high quality water proof glue which should be thin and it should be great with adhesive properties after that your speakers 🔊 will last long that's it

I actually make cones homemade out of manilla envelopes. They are just novelty speakers, for fun, nothing I could use in any type of home application. But, after a few months the cone becomes a bit warped due to humidity. Any ideas on what I could put on the cone that will harden it from the weather but still allow the cone to be flexible?

If secret Don't show your vlog if you don't want to tell what kind of paint or glue that you use.

Well if it's bass then yeah it doesn't matter what you put on the cone. But if the were smaller speakers. Well then that's likely going to alter the sound

Ok but why you not wrighting cons - that extra mass on the cone makes change almost all parameters of speaker, - Less sensibility (so you will need extra watts), Change resonant frequency to lower walue, Change top end frequency to lower walue too, and Q if you care sound, with these change you should reingeneered your crossover/bassrefflex maybe find new suitable midragne and tweeter speaker...
Production company can make it similar like that, but they give you parametrs of these finish speaker.
If someone cares just "racket" in rain not sound, it is ok everytime...
