I give my reaction to the Netflix show which starred Paul Giamatti as Phillip who was mourning the death of Carol, a girlfriend from many years ago and his desire to remember her face through the use of technology called Eulogy. I discuss the ending where Philip got to see Carol’s face, the deeper meaning behind the missing note, and the core theme of the episode.

Eulogy – This is a great episode, but I never saw the relationship working out. They both cheated on each other—and not to forget, she was pregnant with someone else's child. Even if he had read the note back then, the person he was at the time wouldn’t have reacted any better; he might’ve said even worse things. They were never right for each other, and honestly, it was probably better that it ended when it did. This isn’t, at least to me, a story about a relationship that could have been, but one about how time and perspective can change the way we view the past.

Eulogy was absolutely my favorite episode. It was so moving and heartbreaking. It was almost a reverse white Christmas episode with the guide being British and the subject American.
