“Tactical” nukes are classified as having a yield of under 50 kilotons (some possibly in the 1KT range). The bombs dropped on Japan were 15 and 20 kilotons. The bombs on ICBMs and submarines have yields in the 400-800 KT range with 2-8 warheads per missile. Gravity bombs (dropped from aircraft) are the higher yield bombs in the 10+ megaton range. Higher yield bombs were tested but it is unknown if these still exist. The highest yield bomb ever exploded was the TSAR Bomba with a yield of 58 megatons (although theoretically could reach 100MT).

So basically talking about “tactical” nukes is a replay of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Wake up people and stop the madness.
