Everybody there’s a misconception land snails are haram but sea snails are halal.

Sea snails are halal, because of the general permission with regard to eating seafood. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Lawful to you is (the pursuit of) water game and its use for food — for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel.” [al-Maidah 5:96]

Al-Bukhari narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Water game means what is hunted, and its food is what the sea throws out (onto the shore).”

Al-Bukhari narrated from Shurayh, the Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he said: “Everything in the sea is madhbuh (slaughtered).”

Yes, eating snails is considered haram by some sources. This is because snails are considered hasyarat, which are animals that are considered dirty by habit. The jumhur ulama (Hanafiyyah, Shafi'iyyah, Hanabilah, Zhahiriyyah) also consider eating hasyarat to be haram

Guys, everyone here is saying snails r haram because of what they read online. The ones that say it is not allowed follow the shia rules but the ones that say we can eat is following the sunni rules. It just depends on which one you are but you dont have to eat if you dont want to. We all have different beliefs

Edit:guys I did some research and yes snails are haram but she could be eating sea snails which is halal but it doesn’t look like it
