How to manage pinging multiple computers or servers at once.
When we perform our monthly Microsoft server operating system patches and updates, we have a lot of servers to manage at once.

I used to launch a bunch of command windows and ping all of the servers individually in each command window.

I have since switched from command windows to a free utility that allows me to manage pings on a number of hosts/devices, all from one window.

The nice part is, there is a column named “Last Failed On” that I keep an eye on during reboots that tells me the last time a ping failed.

a quick question to ask. are all these servers your pinging a mixture of virtual machines or are they all physical?

Why aren't you using WSUS or something to manage these updates? Manually installing and rebooting servers in 2016 is a huge waste of time, nevermind having 5 people. One person can manage WSUS for that many servers
