Join us for an interactive hour that explores the connections between climate change, migration, and the role of Wall Street’s largest investor in facilitating immigration raids, detentions, and deportations terrorizing Black and Brown communities across the country.

Organizers and campaigners from Friends of the Earth U.S., Mijente, and BlackRock’s Big Problem met to discuss how the climate crisis fuels migration, examining the role of BlackRock - the world’s largest investor in fossil fuels and deforestation - and its financing of Palantir, a data mining company, which is supporting Trump’s deportation machine.

Together we learned about:
→ How the climate crisis fuels migration and creates climate refugees
→ How extractive industries like fossil fuels and agribusiness drive poverty, violence, and migration
→ Investors role in driving the climate crisis and the criminalization of migrants through detention and deportations
→ Connecting calls to defund the police with abolishing ICE
