It saddens me that Burgess shows so much initiative she’s thorough and never looks at things at face value yet she’s still an ‘officer’ after 9 seasons she and Atwater should have been promoted to detectives long ago.

The bit that gets me in this scene is Kim asking Adam what makes him sure and Adam's response is "because I know him".
It's a great call back to 8x10 where they fight because Kim is supposed to know Adam. This is a way to remind Adam that his judgement isn't always great.
And it's nice that Kim gives him the info first rather than just present to the whole team. She lets Adam come to the realisation and do the right thing, rather than embarrass him in front of everyone. She trusts him to be good police, because she does know him.

Ruzek is a loyal friend and I appreciate that about him, but that's a hell of a lot of evidence to ignore.

Just cause he thinks he knows them.

He will refuse to listen
They will fight again and have a big argument
His so call friend will get caught and ruzek he ended up looking like an idiot
He will apologize and arrest this friend
Or he would do something stupid like trying to cover for him and get in trouble

Ruzek really needs to accept the fact that just because they are cops, they will never break the law, that doesn't happen and he should take the example of his own father. This mentality might cost him one day and at one point not even Voight would be able to help him.

MY MOST FAVORITE PRIMETIME TELEVISION SHOW ON TV AND I DON'T WATCH TV MUCH
I ain't never seen a police drama TV series where two different sets of Detectives from the same unit intelligence got married
Burgess and Hailey both got married to their partners and Hailey has a mean streak she's a female version of Sgt Hank Bought
If she can get away with she'll kill you
Burgess always ends up in the hospital

I don't condone what Ortiz did in this episode, his wife needed that 700k more than a two time convicted felon. I hope in the next episode coming up we see intelligence going after the two time convicted felon.
