Moto shows off RIZR rolling phone concept at MWC 23

OMG! I haven’t heard that name in a long time! I remember their RIZR line of phones starting with the RIZR Z1 aka the Banana phone at the time. That phone was cool and I wanted one soooo bad! The way it was was curved at that time was wild and they say it was to complement the curvature of the human face lol.

I really hope they do the RIZR concept phone justice and bring back the banana phone! So hyped!

My real concern with rollables is if this is bendable glass like the fold 2-4 or if it's like the original fold because that display felt like a layer of plastic wrap.

Cool concept, but doesn't look too practical. Looks like you're going to compromise is some parts like bulkiness, specs, batteries etc...

I hope just prototype. The protruded screen, seems too flimsy and awful

A solution in search of a problem. I can’t see myself ever using something like this. Closest production model maybe the Blackberry Priv. At least there was a business case to be made for the Priv - they just blew it in the execution. Same fate awaits here.
