It’s so annoying to me that just because I was born a woman that I have to have “cheats” to be equal to a man. Men get stronger faster, men can naturally run faster, and honestly it’s aggravating. I’m going into law enforcement and I have to pass the same physically fitness exam and academy as a man, but the man will get paid more because the simple fact that he is a man. I went to school to get my bachelors degree and I will be making the same as a man that only finished high school or received a GED. It makes no sense. I am a lesbian by the way. I do not like to be a submissive woman that a man takes care of. I like to take care of myself and the person I am with. My entire life I watched my dad and noticed how smart, physically strong, and alpha male he was and I always wanted to be a leader like he was, but it’s hard to be seen as a leader when men look down at you and do not respect you. Anyways, no hate here I just wish things were different. You are right men and women are not naturally equal. A woman has to work a lot harder to match the physical strength of a man.

Men and Women are equal in value, but not in function. We have different functions, and are both designed to compliment one another.

Both men and women are made in the image of God, hence the equal value. Both have different functions, which is how they are not equal.

Man is created to lead the woman, and the woman takes a supportive role. Still, they both are designed to support one another, and need one another, just in different ways, and it is all designed for loving one another entirely.

By "lead", this doesn't mean men are more intelligent. It goes beyond that and a lot deeper into our nature and function. Women's supportive role in the marriage for example, can also include helping her husband understand something that he doesn't. Men and women are equal in intelligence. But the design works better when the relationship between male and female are aligned with their natural function.

Our mentality is down to our belief systems. We can believe different things about the relationship between men and women, but ultimately it's about coming to accept the truth about our design, and embracing it. By embracing it, we will more likely than not come to a happier, healthier, more functional life.

With all due respect, given these examples men aren’t equal to men either. It’s hard not to throw the baby out with the bathwater when language is intentionally used to antagonize the other, because it’s so obvious that it is insulting. This is like saying man will be equal to woman when he can carry his own child. And the point is?

Women aren't saying we are equal in all things including strength and sports. We are saying we should all be equal in our right to pursue - legally and in a social construct - what we choose to pursue. So that no MAN can tell a WOMAN she can't try something... because she is a WOMAN. Or that she can't vote. Or own property. Or her own credit card. Things we weren't able to do not so long ago.
