I searched on youtube for an HD version of this song but couldn't find it, so I decided to upload it myself. I exactly cut out the song so if you put "endless" before "youtube" in the link, it'll loop perfectly.

The guy who wrote Gladiator, David Franzoni, also wrote this movie, and this shows. What I really like and find almost unique in both flicks is how much you become acquainted with the characters' past despite that stuff not being shown directly, so that you can relate about their motivations for what they do in the movie. In Gladiator you sympathize so much with Maximus' misses his family life and feel the resent which built up through the years from Commodus part despite none of that stuff being shown in movie. Here is the same; you do not need a huge backstory to get how much, through the years, Arthur lingered in the dream of spending in his in what he believes to the the ideal city, while his men lingered in the dream of freedom. You can feel it by simple, powerful hints in script and acting. So that when the dream is shattered you feel all the strength of it and are engaged in what is actually shown in the movie, that is the struggle to cope and find a new cause. Beautiful.

For me, this is the best story about Arthur and this song perfectly describes his dream, to put the sword aside and lead a peaceful life, plowing the land, working at the forge and watching your children play near the house next to Guinevere. this was such beautiful capture of a recurring theme in history.
