Day 6 of #2022GlowSkinGems is continuing the serums! In the nighttime routines, The star is my retinoid, so this is mainly stuff that can compliment that, or be great for my skin for nights when I’m not using a retinoid. So let's get into my top three from this year!
⭐️
1. peachandlily Power Cocktail Lactic Repair Serum - On nights when I don’t use a retinoid, I enjoyed using this treatment. The 10% lactic acid in this gave me no stinging or irritation. This also has lots of other ingredients to provide benefits of smoothing, antioxidants, and fortifying the skin barrier. Earlier on in the year when I was focusing more on AHA exfoliants in my nighttime routines, I just thought this was a perfect serum to get the job done.

2. facetheory Porebright N10 Serum - I went into this one for the niacinamide, but this serum has a blend of other actives in it to complement. It has salicylic acid and azelaic acid, at lower percentages I’m assuming, along with hydrators. All of those are things my skin generally loves, so I wasn’t surprised that it worked nicely for my skin. It is a lovely one-and-done daily type of serum for my oily skin, and it helps that this is daily affordable.

3. paulaschoice Niacinamide 20% Treatment - The 10% PC Niacinamide booster is a longtime fave of mine, so this being here is no surprise to me. I don’t think I had a notable difference between this and the 10%, but I just happened to use the 20% this year. My skin always responds well to niacinamide for my pores, breakouts, and just general smoothness. I find that this is slightly more viscous than the thin watery 10%, so I find this easier to work with sometimes. Otherwise, they are both great for me and pair nicely with my retinoid products.

Please let me know which serums you enjoyed this year for your nighttime routines!
