Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee said it’s the central bank’s job to figure out the “through line” of the data and move in a “steady” way following the US July jobs report, adding policymakers will get a lot of data prior to the Fed’s next meeting.

This man should be fired now! We need rate hikes! Sick of inflation biggest threat to the economy. Less than 2%. Economy is fine and inflation is up over 20% in the last three years. So sick of these corporate people and talking heads only concerned with their stocks. Inflation makes everyone poorer everyday and the fed and the government are responsible!

They didn’t miss in July. This is actually exactly what was intended. There was no point in a 25 point cut. Save it for a 100 point cut in September.
