For anybody who wants to pick up morde, it's very important to note that your death realm is positioned not around your target, but around where they were when you cast your R. In other words, you DO NOT want to press R before they are fully pulled with your E. Always do E+slightly delayed Q+ auto +R

A mistake I often see Morde players do is instantly double-tapping his W for the heal.

The shield is always bigger than the heal. If you're actively taking damage, let it soak up as much of that damage as possible before you convert what's left into some extra health.

It's also really good for lane sustain if your opponent leaves the lane. Stack up the shield by hard shoving the wave and consume it for a nice chunk of health so you can look to get a ward or perhaps pressure an early Herald.

The biggest flex against a Morderkaiser is killing him in his own ult .

I have a love/hate and respect for morde
I dont play him at all even though hes literally right up my alley in terms of character and archetypes-
I love seeing people play him
Id say i hate fighting him as well, but as a tahm main i usually come out fine.

I personally like the Olaf matchup as Mord. I'm not sure if the lifesteal works on W, and even so, life steal can't do anything to one big hit.

soa funny situation that happened the other day was that both teams has a Mordekaiser, and multiple players are fighting in the same area so i use my ultimate to be extra sure to kill an annoying enemy, but while i did that the enemy MordeKaiser did the same, so not only i killed my original target, but i also manage to walk to the enemy Mordekaiser and start beating him saving my ally

Is it worth it to go Riftmaker instead of Jack'Sho as your mythic? About half a year ago when I was trying to main Morde, that's what I was building after the Scepter but I see more people doing Jack'Sho now.

It feels dreadful when I have to fight a mordekaiser while trying to play off-meta on top because he always has the bigger stat stick and hes really good at forcing all ins. Mordekaiser almost always has the bigger stat stick, thats what makes him fun to play as and a pain to play against.

Sidenote: running into morde players who have 0 idea what they are doing is always a treat. I remember playing ryze mid (i lost lane like any self-respecting ryze player) and there being an enemy morde who also lost lane. I have no idea how badly that guy fed because when he ulted me late game thinking I was an easy kill, I was chunking a fifth of his HP with every empowered Q, and Late Game Ryze being Late Game Ryze I ended up melting him. I have no idea how I managed to get out of that ult alive with no less than half my HP lmao
