How did A’Sharad Hett go from Order 66 survivor to leader of the Sith Order? Away on a scouting mission during the Jedi Purge, Hett fled to his homeworld of Tatooine after the fall of the Jedi Order. Returning to his heritage, he donned the wrappings of a Tusken Raider and became war leader of several Tusken clans. As the clans approached the Lars moisture farm, they were stopped by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who warned Hett he was close to the dark side. But Hett refused to listen, and the two ignited their lightsabers. Kenobi’s victory left Hett maskless and disgraced, and Obi-Wan ordered Hett to leave Tatooine and never return. On Korriban he discovered a Sith holocron that opened him to the teachings of the Sith. Later tortured by the Yuuzhan Vong, Hett learned to use his agony to open himself to the dark side. Assuming the name Darth Krayt, Hett reestablished the Sith, rejecting Darth Bane’s Rule of Two and instituting the Rule of One - that being the Sith Order itself.
