The apostles can't help themselves. They just keep getting arrested for the same thing. This time it plays out a little different though -- God lets them out of jail and they go back to the temple and keep talking about Jesus. What will the thought-policing religious leaders do about that?

Thanks Matt. I am glad you pointed out the change in Peter. Now he is an imitator of Christ. Persistence pays. It gets the point across. May we all strive to say we "Won't Back Down." 💃 Have an amazing day!

I know, really late to the party here, but two quick things:
1. A UHF LOVE IT
"Oh, silly me, just call me Mr.Butterfingers...I think its on the floor."
2. My pastor is going through Acts now, and will be covering chapter 5 tomorrow. My plan is to read ahead and watch the corresponding video before Sunday's sermon.
*this would be my second time around for the Acts series here, its what hooked me on Mr.Matt Whitman! Listening to the podcast now, up to episode 230 so far and loving it.

Lol. Love the temple of doom insert. Wonder what's the Tolkien book & statue on it?

"These religious leaders seem awful at managing detainees..." I love your style of breaking it down to a very simple (and humorous) point which is VERY educational. I find that too many bible study teachers, though they do mean well, make things way too complex.

Cats are an interesting edge case in the pet world. With cats, you get out of them what you put into them, and I can't think of any other animal that works like that. The rest either love you unconditionally or hate you unconditionally. But cats don't love unconditionally. Also with cats, I think it's 90% genetic as to whether you get a good one or a terrible one. I think there's an interesting moral lesson in there somewhere, but I am too stupid to tease it out, lol.

Regardless. Cats rule. Dogs drool. This is objectively true! ;D

I think the Sadducees would have greatly appreciated a hypnotising machine in this situation.

Your cats are named "Luna" and "Sol"? I wholly approve of your family's naming conventions.

Let me check the room, yes it stands. 😂 really great analogy (had a 🐱 i didn't like it, i kicked it out the 🐱was 😢 my kids were 😢 my husband shook his head but i looked around the room and my decision stood) #boss
Miracles are so amazing and they break all natural and scientific laws. I have gotten confrontation but "signs and wonders follow those that believe" i am a persistent cat but i still don't want a 🐱 in my home.

So you're saying kittens are on a mission from God. Got it. ;)

Why do you think Life is capitalized in verse 20?

Oh how I relate to the cat "thing"... Vile creatures. And the more that word gets out that I deeply dislike their species, the more they seek me out. Fortunately, my will is resolute...unlike yours. Traitor. I'm glad you're not my champion; you'd fail miserably. As Captain James Hook once stated, "Kill them. Kill them all." #iswishmycapeatyou   #gooddaysir

5:20-5:58 If you replace every use of the word "religious" with "political" it sounds eerily similar to a lot of voices I hear on the American Left today.
