Is it worth it? The US$18K TAG Heuer Kith Formula 1 Box Set, hands on!

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Kith has sped on to the scene and we have got hands on with the full, US$18,000 box set containing all 10 models. But is it worth the price? When the box set is priced higher than all 10 watches sold individually, but limited to a smaller number, there are arguments to be made either way.

$1500 is insane. Should have just been a TAG release, not limited, for $700-900 at most and it would have sold like hotcakes!! Missed opportunity

I started the watch journey with this one 32 years ago, at the age of 15. Still have it, the black version, as worn by Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. This price is ridiculous and almost insulting for hardcore Tag Heuer fans. At least they butchered the name and we can pretend it's not really a Tag Heuer.

Kudos to Time & Tide for highlighting that it is FOUR times as expensive as the original one. Others just mentioned the price of the new one without mentioning this.
It seems that this collab was originated by Kith’ founder Ronnie who has an affinity for old Tag Heuer Formula 1s. Somehow both companies think that $1500 is a good price for a plastic battery operated watch. I guess it’s not for me.

That's a ridiculous price for those watches. If they were priced to compete with the MoonSwatch or Blancpain x Swatch collabs, then they might be worth considering. Even then, I don't actually like them :)

These are not for the watch guys. These are for the sneaker guys. People who shell out 3k for a pair of shoes don't really care whether it is quartz or plastic. They just want what's "hot on the streets". Pretty sure that the KITH store versions will immediately sell out.

Shame about the kith element. Imagine if they had made them 300-400 in high numbers, might have been a rival to moonswatch. At this price and these numbers, not gonna put Huer into the next generation hands.

I have an original metal strap, black face, full serviced 8 years ago, replaced movement, bezel, looked brand new, cost me more than the original price, just been sent back for a battery, worked for 2-3 months, then it stopped, Kaput the crystal has busted can't replace the movement as they don't make them any more, well that's Friggin LIE

Great introduction for new collectors to the market, especially younger new collectors, but it is a bit expensive for a quartz watch, but taking into account the price of Kith wear which is designed for younger market, this is probably priced correctly. Like the colours but wouldn’t buy one.

I really like these but for this price I get more watches and other stuff. Just bought an old one on eBay just for checking out for the moonswatch price. TG wasted a huge opportunity with this limited drop and this price. But for sure they will sell out fast
