I believe Paul and/or Giles heard this version at some point and that it influenced their version. The official version has the addition of orchestra/strings; it contains samples of the Beatles' harmony from legacy material; and there are probably other similarities.

I love the new Beatles version. But this has blown me away too. Where their is sad and melancholy this is more uplifting going to the major key instead of the minor. And the somewhat enigmatic ending is suitably Peppery. Nice one all round. And very cleverly edited.

Since the first minute to the last, this beautiful song reminded me of someone. I just wish I had the privilege to share it with him! One of the worst pains is to be forgotten by the one who means the world to you. But in case this comment reaches him someday & reminds him of me, I just hope he realises how beautiful his soul is because I won't let the world tell him otherwise. You forgot me, didn't you? But for me it's different. I was so overwhelmed as things happened out of the blue & I realise now that I acted in crazy ways & made you feel suffocated, embarrassed & for a lot of things I didn't even know what I was doing & why(I still feel guilty about those things). It took me a while to do the thing that I already knew inside, 'You can also be there for the person, at a distance, in silence so that the person can be at peace & happy'. I've been the most selfish during that period because I knew I won't get this time with you back but it was unfair to you. I'm sorry.

If I get to revisit that era again, a lot of things I would keep to myself no matter what just to make you feel at ease, not to provoke paranoia in you so that I could always be there (Even though I'm still doing it from afar in silence. I often wonder if you can feel it...Nah! I'm just daydreaming again...) Mine doesn't even count as I guess, you're being loved more by your small circle of people whom you'd been waiting on lately...

Don't want to hate on it but this version is much better than the official version. The "I don't want to lose you part" is so beautiful, haunting and vulnerable and cutting it is a baffling decision probably to make it more commercial

If only this was the version released it would’ve effortlessly sat as one of the Beatles best songs. The official version is good but it lacks the emotion this has it hits your soul directly especially the bridge! Amazing
