A little about me:
I am James McBurnett. I live in the great state of Texas. Probably not where you would think, but I am located in the panhandle region. I moved here from Alabama and work as a Chemical Engineer in the area. After being here for a few years, I decided to get back to my roots as a fisherman. It is quite challenging in my area to find a body of water to fish. The closest lake to me is about 40 miles away.

After a couple more years, I realized how much I love fishing and wanted to share it with the world. Clearwater fishing was born. I wanted to teach people all about fishing. This includes rods, reels, fishing line, bait, lures, largemouth bass, crappie, walleye, catfish, bluegill, boats, boat trailers, outboards, and anything else related to fishing.

I also wanted to share my fishing experiences as well. To be entertaining, knowledgeable, comical, and FUN. Nice video. What part of AL? I'm also an AL transplant living in TX. I grew up just outside of Tuscaloosa. Planning on the LiveScope now and could not decide whether to have it mounted to the Ultrexx or on a separate pole. I fish solo a lot, frequently from the back of the boat with Spot Lock on.

When you're using trolling motor mount together with spotlock, i'm not sure how accurate it will be. Because with spotlock on my motor is always turning around to constantly correct the position of my boat, especially if there's less wind. And imo you can only 'look around' when motor is switched off. At least if you don't want to change the direction of your boat. Whats your opinion about that James?

The real question I have with the humminbird mega live is how does it interface into my system. I would like to buy mega live when it is available and hook it into my front depth finder which is a helix 10 g4n si. There are times when I just need a depth finder. I only want 1 unit up front. great video very helpful

If you had power poles in that scenario with fishing that brushpile, you could simply power pole down and then rotate the trolling motor as you wish to view the tree.

Activate Hug the bank option with Ipilot so you don’t have to touch the trolling motor and then you can focus on Livescope with your foot or manuel version ;)
