Fred Armisen's family story is by far one of the most interesting genealogy stories I've ever heard!

Walkens father though did not come from Horst near Hamburg in Northern Germany. It is Horst down in the industrial area of Ruhr in Nordrhein-Westphalen near Gelsen-Kirchen.

I wish that they had investigated more of the life of Fred Armisen's Korean grandfather. What happened to him? Did he marry and have a family? Fred may have half-cousins in Korea. These stories are just fascinating.

Hirohito, the emperor of Japan needs to cast in this show. Definitely! He once admitted that his ancestor was from Baek Jae, Korea. This will change the mindset of people in Japan.

PSY, who famous Korean singer for 'Gangnam Style', also 'PARK family'. PSY's original name is PARK Jae-Sang. and almost of PARK family in Korea are descendant of PARK Hyeokgeose, the founding monarch of Silla and the founder of PARK family. So, Fred Armisen and PSY can be distant relatives. Compare your Jokbo(Chok bo).
but PARK Young-min who grandfather of Fred Armisen, was just a traitor to Korean. At least, he worked for Japanese Empire and lived as a Japanese until he died, even though Korea was independent from Japan in 1945.

I think it's interesting that people always discuss the past like the people of the past knew what we knew. It's like knowing the answer to a puzzle and watching someone else figure it out. When going back into history and researching and studying you can't use your knowledge of History to understand history. Because when you do that you'll always forget that they don't know what you know. Not to mention funny thing about history is that do we really know everything about history that we've been taught? And what we've been taught completely true?

29:00 No surprise. Nazi Germany and Japan were allies back then. I am translating the following from wiki. Kuni was born into a wealthy family and his first exposure to dance was from a English when he was 12. He studied Art but was also learning dance and performing. Then, he took the opportunity to study dance in Germany because there was a dance school that was the only one in the world, run by the government. He went on to perform for the German troops. In this video you hear Kabuki but I doubt Kuni performed Kabuki. He probably performed a Japanese Traditional Dance that to this day people learn. (Kabuki cannot be learned because you have to be born into a Kabuki family.) After the war, he wanted to remain in Germany but he was sent back to Japan by the Soviets. He moved to California in 1960s and taught at Cal State Fullerton.

I would *love* to look at my genealogical record in Cuba but I’m worried they don’t exist anymore.
